Former AC Milan coach Fabio Capello says Inter Milan needed to take their chances last night against Manchester City.
City won the Champions League final 1-0 in Istanbul, with Fede Dimarco hitting the crossbar and Romelu Lukaku also failing with a great chance late on.
Capello said, “I said there wasn’t that much distance between the teams. Inter wasted too much, I know something I’ve lost finals like this.
“Italian football has grown, it’s the third final we’ve lost. We’ve all lost them badly, none has dominated us. We can play against everyone with personality.
“With just a few tweaks, this Inter can be competitive both in the league and in the Champions League. We need the right players in the right places. In these games you have to be precise, you can’t go wrong because otherwise you’ll get punished. These things make all the difference.
“De Bruyne’s exit favoured City, Foden had a great game. One thing that Inter lacked was precision on crosses, which were very inaccurate.”
