Inter Milan hero Beppe Bergomi feels they surprised everyone by running Manchester City so close last night.
City won the Champions League final 1-0 in Istanbul, with Fede Dimarco hitting the crossbar and Romelu Lukaku also failing with a great chance late on.
Bergomi said: “We all thought there was more distance between the two teams. Inter played it evenly.
“Football is made up of choices, Lautaro, as he is, he shouldn’t have found selfishness tonight. The game was 0-0, of course it’s not his fault for the defeat. Sorry, we lost three finals.
“Inter played a great game, they knew how to suffer. It’s a shame about the wasted opportunities. City felt the pressure, they didn’t play smoothly.”
