Brighton boss Roberto de Zerbi admits he wants Moises Caicedo to stay this season.
The Ecuador midfielder has seen a ?80m offer from Chelsea rejected by Brighton in the last 24 hours.
Asked for an update on Caicedo, De Zerbi was adamant.
De Zerbi said: “If you ask me what I would like? I would like to keep and for him to stay with us but it is not my work.
“My work is to tell my owner if [Mois?s] Caicedo leaves we need another big and important midfielder.”
