World Cup stats: France’s Olivier Giroud joins Golden Boot conversation and makes history in the process

The 2022 World Cup got is underway and we already have four players with at least two goals to heat up the Golden Boot race. The latest to score a brace is Olivier Giroud of France — who tied Thierry Henry with most goals ever scored wearing the iconic Les Bleus shirt with 51 — during a 4-1 victory over Australia in the opening match of the group stage.
