Man Utd signing Hojlund ready to challenge Rashford

Manchester United new boy Rasmus Hojlund is set to challenge Marcus Rashford in more ways than one.

Hojlund will be a real threat for United in attack and will hope to try and match the goals Rashford gets for the club this season.

While he may compete with Rashford for the honor of top scorer, he will also battle for the tag of fastest player.

The United forward set a top speed of 35.95 km/h, which is a figure Hojlund will hope to match or exceed.

“Yeah, definitely,” Hojlund told club media when asked if previous coach Gian Piero Gasperini’s claim that he can run 100 meters in less than 11 seconds was true.

“I don’t know if it’s like you stand with a watch every day on the side but when we came inside after the training, they said I had quite a high top speed.

“Yeah, I’m ready [to rise to the challenge after Rashford’s achievement],” he added.

“Hopefully we can link up instead of competing but, yeah, when you compete on the training pitch you’re also going to be better together on the pitch.”
