England coach Gareth Southgate admits he’s followed Mykhaylo Mudryk‘s struggles at Chelsea.
Southgate was pleased with the way Kyle Walker handled the winger in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Ukraine.
He told reporters: “He [Walker] showed really important defensive qualities, his cover of a very good winger [Mudryk].”
Blues manager Mauricio Pochettino has said of Mudryk: “He’s a young player that needs to be trusted, we need to trust in him to create this relationship with us and with the team.
“He has enormous quality and talent, I think it’s only [a matter of] time for him to settle better in the team and for sure he will find the way to perform in the way that we expect.”
