Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku is set to take a major pay-cut to join AS Roma.
Lukaku is in Italy to complete his loan move after the two clubs reached an agreement over the weekend.
Roma will pay ?7m for a loan fee, with Chelsea accepting the offer on the condition that Lukaku agrees to a ?7m pay-cut for the year.
Chelsea will cover a percentage of Lukaku’s wages so long as he agrees a reduction from his ?17m salary to ?10m, says the London Evening Standard.
The Belgium is expected to agree to the compromise.
